HP 346914-B21 Description
The new Smart Array 6i Controller is an intelligent array controller for entry-level, hardware-based fault tolerance for protection of OS, applications, and logs. A single Ultra320 SCSI channel allows you to support all Ultra320 SCSI internal hard disk drives (NOTE: The ProLiant DL380 G4 ships with a dual channel Smart Array 6i controller). The Smart Array 6i controller provides one of the most cost effective alternatives to software-based RAID in the market today. 128MB BBWC Enabler optional upgrade for the ProLiant DL360 G4 and ProLiant DL380 G4 servers provides increased performance and worry-free battery backed write cache data protection for all server internal storage needs.

The HP 346914-B21 new Smart Array E200i is the embedded version of the E200 controller card for entry-level applications. This controller has 2 x4 internal connections and ships standard with RAID 0, 1 and 1+0. The 128 BBWC upgrade provides RAID 5 functionality on the E200i on select ProLiant DL, ML and BL servers.
