The IBM System Storage TS1040 Tape Drive incorporates the new Linear Tape-Open (LTO) IBM Ultrium 4 Tape Drive, with enhanced maximum tape drive throughput over the IBM LTO generation 3 Tape Drive (Ultrium 3). It has a native data transfer of up to 120 MB/sec. In addition, with the use of the IBM LTO Ultrium 800 GB Data Cartridge, the TS1040 doubles the maximum tape cartridge capacity providing up to 800 GB native physical capacity (1,600 GB with 2:1 compression), as compared to the IBM Ultrium 3 Tape Drives and cartridges. IBM Ultrium 4 Tape Drives can read and write LTO Ultrium 3 Data Cartridges and read LTO Ultrium 2 Data Cartridges. The TS1040 has a 4-Gbps Fibre Channel interface for connection to a wide spectrum of open system servers.

Can you ship on my freight account?
Yes. Please contact a RICOM representative for details.  UPS, FedEx, and TNT are preferred for parcel shipments.  LTL shipments can be setup with a variety of other carriers.
