The dual port Sun SG-XPCI2FC-EM4-Z HBAs consist of a single-slot PCI-X 2.0 bus expansion board that interfaces a 64-bit PCI bus to one or two Fibre Channel (FC) optical media busses. The dual port HBAs support 32-bit and 64-bit PCI transfers as a master bus during direct memory access (DMA) transfers and 16-bit transfers as a slave during parallel input/output (PIO) operations, as well as PCI-X 1.0 and 2.0 transactions. The channels of the single and dual port Sun 375-3399 HBAs can act as either initiators or targets. In the dual-port HBA, the two channels operate independently and each supports a separate bus that operates at 4.25 Gbits per second. The single and dual port HBAs are also backward compatible with 2.125-Gbit-per-second and 1.0625-Gbit-per-second busses.
