Dual-port design of 44X1940 offers single point protection against failures by routing them to redundant switching modules connected to BladeCenter mid-planes. It is possible to enable two nos. of 1Gigabit ethernet ports with two nos. of 8Gigabit ethernet ports with assistance of these adapters.
