The switches ship with Comware V5 operating system a second generation IPR / Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) virtualization technology. The H3C S7510E integrates multiple services such as MPLS VPN, IPv6, network security, wireless, and Passive Optical Network (PON) services. This switch also supports many high-reliability features such as non-stop forwarding, continuous upgrades, easy start ups, and ring network protection allowing for a maximum uptime.

MPLS and VPLS service capabilities are offered with the H3C S7500E supporting Multi-VRF and can be used as MCE equipment. Together they support both L3 MPLS VPNs and L2 MPLS VPNs (Martini and Kompella), provide MPLS OAM for easy maintenance and management, and cooperate with H3C MPLS VPN Manager to implement graphical MPLS deployment and maintenance. H3C S7500E comprehensively supports VPLS, VLL, 1K VPLS and 4K VLL instances, hierarchical VPLS, QINQ+VPLS access, and MPLS/VPLS wire-speed forwarding. These switches offer an end-to-end L2 VPN access solution and thus meets the requirements of large-scale VPLS deployment. High-performance IPv4/IPv6 services H3C S7500E supports the IPv4 and IPv6 protocol stacks, multiple tunneling technologies, and IPv4/IPv6 multicast to give a complete IPv4/IPv6 solution for users. H3C S7510E manages provides wire-speed non-blocking forwarding of IPv4 and IPv6 packets. H3C S7500E has passed the IPv6 network access certification and IPv6 Ready phase-2 certification required by China’s Ministry of Information Industry (MII) to become a mature IPv6 product. Virtualized architecture based on IRF2 To adapt to the evolution of DCs, H3C S7500E employs IRF2-based software virtualization technology, which supports the collaboration, unified management and uninterrupted maintenance of multiple hosts.
