RICOM offers the Cisco HWIC-1GE-SFP single-port Gigabit Ethernet HWIC which provides Gigabit Ethernet optical and copper connectivity in a compact form factor for all Cisco 2800 and 3800 series integrated services routers, except the 2801. The Cisco HWIC-1GE-SFP Gigabit Ethernet HWIC enables branch offices to use high-speed uplinks. The performance of Gigabit Ethernet in Cisco 2800 and 3800 series routers allows customers to enable new applications and services, as well as provide greater capacity for existing inter-VLAN routing and bridging capabilities. Additionally, branch offices can now connect to metropolitan-area network. RICOM sells new and used Cisco HWIC-1GE-SFP cards. The HWIC-1GE-SFP is a single-wide HWIC with one Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) slot. The SFP slot can be populated with Cisco copper and optical Gigabit Ethernet SFPs to provide 1-port Gigabit Ethernet connectivity on Cisco 2800 (excluding Cisco 2801) and Cisco 3800 Series systems. The HWIC does not come with any default SFP; it must be ordered separately. HWIC-1GE-SFP only supports 1000 Mbps in full duplex.
