This adapter supports distances of up to 33 m (108 ft) using 62.5 um multimode fiber with 200 MHz km minimum modal bandwidth at 850 nm or 300 m (6 mi) using 50 um multimode fiber with 2000 MHz km minimum modal bandwidth at 850 nm.

This IBM 5769 Adapter Ethernet-SR PCI Express is supported in 64-bit, 3.3V PCI-X slots only.The 10 Gigabit Ethernet-SR PCI-X Adapter incorporates an LC-type connector on the card.
