Route Switch Processor 8 RSP8

The Route Switch Processor 8 RSP8 is Cisco Systems' newest-generation main system processor for the Cisco 7500 Series Router. The RSP8 significantly increases system performance for the Cisco 7500 with a new high-performance 250 MHz RISC-based microprocessor and 8 megabytes packet memory for high-density configurations, and utilizes ECC (Error Correction Code) for increased system reliability. It serves as an ideal platform for enterprise and service provider networks that require additional performance and processing power to support service-enabled edge and core applications.

In addition to running the system software, the RSP8 combines routing and high-speed switching functions for the Cisco 7500 series router, and contains and executes the following management functions that control the system:

• Sending and receiving routing protocol updates
• Managing Distributed Cisco Express Forwarding (D-CEF) tables for improved system throughput
• Monitoring interface and environmental status
• Providing Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) management and console/Telnet user interfaces

Our corporate headquarters is located in Irvine California where shipments and logistics are managed.  RICOM utilizes over 700 warehouses and fulfillment centers worldwide to improve availability, and ease delivery.  Obtain a freight estimate online or by contacting a RICOM representative.

Can you ship on my freight account?
Yes. Please contact a RICOM representative for details.  UPS, FedEx, and TNT are preferred for parcel shipments.  LTL shipments can be setup with a variety of other carriers.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, RICOM ships worldwide. We have customers in over 50 countries and have extensive experience in international shipping methods as well as working with customs regulations.

What type of warranty do you offer?
Our warranties range from 30 days to one year depending on the manufacturer.  We offer certified extended warranty programs on most equipment through the manufacturer.
