The WIC-1ENET can be used for deployment of a separate DMZ on the perimeter of the network. A DMZ enables Internet users to access public servers, including Web and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) servers, while maintaining security for the company's private LAN.  The Cisco WIC-1ENET provides additional Ethernet ports for the 1700 series switches.  The integrated 10/100 Fast Ethernet port on the Cisco 1700 series router remains connected to an internal LAN, with the second Ethernet port provided by the WIC-1ENET can be connected to an external DSL or cable modem.  When the 1700 router integrates with the WIC-1ENET, the router can support virtual private networks (VPNs), voice over IP (VoIP), broadband, and combined voice and data networking.

Can you ship on my freight account?
Yes. Please contact a RICOM representative for details.  UPS, FedEx, and TNT are preferred for parcel shipments.  LTL shipments can be setup with a variety of other carriers.

What type of warranty do you offer?
Our warranties range from 30 days to one year depending on the manufacturer.  We offer certified extended warranty programs on most equipment through the manufacturer.
