The Cisco Catalyst WS-C2950SX-48-SI switch is a standalone, fixed-configuration, managed 10/100 switch with two fixed 1000BASE-SX uplinks. The Cisco Catalyst WS-C2950SX-48-SI switch is a  standalone Layer 2 managed switches. The dual integrated 10/100/1000BASE-T and 1000BASE-SX ports Catalyst WS-C2950SX-48-SI provide redundancy and higher availability.  No Gigabit Interface Converters (GBICs) are required.
