The Catalyst WS-F6K-DFC3B6500 Distributed Forwarding Card is installed in DFC-enabled line-card modules that perform distributed forwarding supported by the Catalyst 6500 Supervisor Engine 2 as a field upgrade. These line cards include the WS-X6516-GBIC and the WS-X6816-GBIC.

WS-F6K-DFC3B Key Features:

• When the Distributed Forwarding Card is installed, Line cards that are DFC-enabled make forwarding decisions locally, leaving the supervisor engine free to perform routing and management functions
• The Distributed Forwarding Card supports Cisco’s distributed Cisco Express Forwarding (CEF)-based forwarding architecture
• The Distributed Forwarding Card replicates Layer 2 and 3 forwarding logic in hardware as well as a bus on each line card

WS-F6K-DFC3B Centralized and Distributed Forwarding Daughter Cards

The WS-F6K-DFC3B centralized forwarding card (CFC) and the distributed forwarding cards (DFC) can be installed on select Ethernet switching modules in the field to upgrade the modules to support local switching. There is one CFC and six DFC daughter cards available for installation on Catalyst 6500 series modules.

Yes. Please contact a RICOM representative for details.  UPS, FedEx, and TNT are preferred for parcel shipments.  LTL shipments can be setup with a variety of other carriers.

What type of warranty do you offer?
Our warranties range from 30 days to one year depending on the manufacturer.  We offer certified extended warranty programs on most equipment through the manufacturer.
