The 24-port Sphereon 4500 offers unprecedented connectivity on demand with McDATA's exclusive FlexPort Technology. Additional connectivity can be added quickly and non-disruptively to any Sphereon 4500 in your storage network. The ES-4500 is a 2Gb/s, full duplex fabric switch with a capacity of 24 ports in a company, 1U package. It is available with 8, 16 or 24 active ports and transceivers. The switch also includes SANPilot" management, a browser-based management tool for organizing small fabrics, and the HotCAT" technology that provides online, non-disruptive firmware upgrades.
