GST's NetDR Gigabit Ethernet Server Adapters are functionally equivalent to IBM's FC2975 and deliver on the promise of Gigabit throughput, Gigabit performance and Gigabit reliability for high-end Servers. Optimized to support both 64bit/66MHz PCI and 32bit/33MHz PCI bus based systems, these adapters have been developed around GST's own highly advanced PCI bus ASIC. A state of the art ASIC enables the adapter to support true 64-bit wide throughput between the Gigabit Ethernet MAC interface, and the PCI bus, ensuring complete compatibility and maximum performance, while reducing CPU utilization.

Supporting the 64bit/66MHz PCI bus bandwidth specification of 533MBps, four times higher than conventional 32-bit systems, the full-duplex NetDR will not be the bottleneck in your Server bus. In addition, both single port and Dual Link adapters allow 64-bit addressing in a single cycle to address more than 4 GB of RAM - almost a necessity for many of today's high-end Server applications. Compatibility for 32-bit systems is ensured through dual address cycle mode in all NetDR adapters.
