ProLiant DL380 G4 Overview

HP ProLiant DL380 G4 Storage Server comes in four configurations: a Base, 1.2TB SCSI, 1TB SATA and SAN storage model. The ProLiant DL380 G4 Storage Server system holds maximum 2 operating system disks and 4 data disk drives. Each MSA30 disk enclosures holds up to 14 SCSI hard drives and each MSA20 disk enclosure holds up to 12 SATA hard drives. ProLiant DL380 G4 Standard high performance model features. The ProLiant DL380 G4 Storage Server comes per default with one embedded Smart Array 6i Array Controller. HP OpenView Storage Mirroring - The ProLiant DL380 G4 Storage Server supports using Storage Mirroring as the replication software solution. The HP ProLiant DL380 G4 Storage Server has a standard 3-3-3 warranty (3 years parts exchange, 3 years labour and 3 year on-site, next business day response).

  • The ProLiant DL380 G4 Storage Server can be deployed as an appliance with its own direct attached storage or as NAS/SAN fusion product to act as a file serving gateway for an HP-based SAN
  • The appliance model supports up to 80TB of storage using SATA hard disk drives. The SAN storage model supports up virtually unlimited storage depending on the HP-based SAN storage capacity.
