Service providers are increasing their focus on business disciplines. One way that they do this is by following a strict adherence to return on investment (ROI) principles. The addition of a low-priced GigE network module to an existing ASX or TNX multiservice switch will increase service providers' offerings to their customers - and provide a new source of high-margin revenue. With this new network module, service providers can add GigE services and connectivity to an existing Marconi switch for a small incremental investment. Marconi has strengthened its multiservice switch product line with the introduction of this new GigE network module.
