The IBM p5 550 Express server offers up to four 1.5GHz POWER5 processors, offers tremendous flexibility to meet ever-changing capacity and growth requirements. Smaller and mid-sized companies have extensive growth potential in a choice of 19" 4U (four EIA units) rack drawer or deskside packages with up to 64GB of memory, up to eight optional I/O drawers resulting in 31.2TB of disk storage and up to 60 hot-plug PCI-X slots. For the ultimate in server availability, the p5-550 Express server can be clustered with High Availability Cluster Multiprocessing (HACMP™) software to provide near continuous availability.
