The Supervisor Engine 32 ( WS-SUP32-10GE-3B ) has a a 10/100/1000 Mbps uplink port and two 10-Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports. The ports require XENPAK modules to be installed into them. The ports operate at 10 Gbps. The Cisco Catalyst 6500 Supervisor Engine 32 delivers industry-leading security, availability, and manageability services for enterprise networks.

The Cisco Supervisor Engine 32 is ideal for enterprise LAN access that require maximum uptime and security. Supervisor Engine 32 provides investment protection for current Cisco Catalyst 6500 deployments by supporting all existing classic and CEF256 based modules and enabling new applications. Offers two uplink options are available: 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Small Form Pluggable (SFP)-based uplinks and 2-port 10-Gigabit Ethernet XENPAK-based uplinks.
